The Sacramento Kings have released a new set of renderings for the Entertainment and Sports Center in Downtown Sacramento. Technology is the name of the game for the new building, but the plan is for the entire complex to revitalize the heart of capital city with an esthetic that is distinctly Sacramento.

Included in the renderings is a new 16-story “mixed use tower” that includes a 250-room hotel, 69 residential units, 35,000 square feet of office spaces, and approximately 45,000 square feet of retail spaces.

If Sacramento is to host events like NBA All-Star Weekend, hotel rooms are a must. The proposed building, listed as “Downtown Plaza Tower,” has been submitted to the Planning Commission in advance of their December 11 meeting. According to the plans, the building will sit along J street, between 5th and 6th street.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Cowbell Kingdom crew. Please enjoy some pics while spending time with family and friends.
