According to beat writer Erik Erlendsson:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>After his 14-week checkup today, which included an X-ray and consultation with team physician Dr. Ira Gutentag, Stamkos will not play on the Lightning&#8217;s upcoming four-game road trip that begins on Thursday in Nashville. Stamkos will be re-evaluated when the team returns from the trip on March 5 with the hope that his first game back will be March 6 when Tampa Bay opens a six-game homestand against Buffalo.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Stamkos said he had a pretty clear picture, after the last CT scan that he wouldn&#8217;t be ready for the Predators game on Thursday. The latest scan shows the bone healing very well, but it&#8217;s not yet at 100%.\u00a0(Photo\/<b><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sfintampa\">Susan Ferlita<\/a><\/b>)<\/p>\n<p>Stamkos\u00a0will travel with the team and \u00a0continue practicing.
