Football season is back with the first two-a-day practice.
Garafolo on the Morning practice:
Garafolo on the morning and afternoon.
“Bomar had a solid afternoon after a tremendous morning session.”
Vacchiano on the afternoon practice.
Paul Schwartz on the day’s practices.
Okay, so we hear from Corey Webster that we are going to see these Cornerbacks playing the QB a lot more and playing press on the WR a lot less. Pete’s right, if it smells like a duck, walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it’s a duck. If Webster is right and they are just mixing it up, I have less problem with that. Just don’t mix it up to the point where the better QBs are going to victimize us in this turnover volatility game.
Very happy with the early Bomar reports. Bill Parcells sage wisdom: “It’s a very easy thing to say, ‘Go get a backup quarterback.’ Now tell me where to get them. You just can’t dial them up.”
Players limited in practice were Bulluck, Bradshaw, Boss, Umenyiora, Nicks and O’Hara. It is all precautionary… the Giants are not over-working them early. O’Hara has an ankle, does not sound serious.
The Panther’s Steve Smith apparently did not like the hit from Michael Johnson that broke his arm.
Bill Polian of the Colts sounded off on the absurdity of rookie salaries.
