At the Giants OTA, Hakeem Nicks broke his foot and will be out for 3 months. He will have surgery today.
The good news is that at least Nicks will be back in August and should not miss the start of the season. The bad news is that Nicks gets hurt every year. Nicks is injury prone. The doctors expect his foot to heal “very well” from this type of procedure, so that is encouraging as well.
The bottomline on Hakeem Nicks is that if he stays healthy for 16 games, he is easily a Pro Bowl WR. The combination of Nicks and Cruz makes it very difficult for any defensive secondary. It’s May. Thank goodness it is May.
