Irene thrwarts Giants’ plans

Ferocious Hurricane Irene has made landfall and is headed for New York.  Because of Irene, today’s preseason game has been canceled.  The Giants and Jets will play on Monday night at 7PM ET.  Depending on power outrages, the game will be televised in New York on WNBC.  For Giants fans outside the New York Metropolitan area, the game will be televised on NFL Network.

Meanwhile, this is the latest on the Giants.

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw’s aching back will keep him out of Monday’s game.

The Giants signed a cornerback.

Antrel Rolle is moving to nickel cornerback.

Since I have lived in Florida and currently reside in Louisiana, I am very familiar with hurricanes. Not only  do they cause extensive property damage, once the cameras are turned off, people have to cope with all the chaos. (ie If one does not own a generator, you have to go get ice.) Basically it becomes camping indoors.    My prayers go out to everyone.  Be safe.   And heed warnings from your local cities, towns, and municipalities.
