After a four-month ride that started with sweaty joy, saw pain and suffering throughout, created moments that were like what I imagine freebasing adrenaline would be like, and ended with Florida State closing the door on Auburn’s black magic-inspired journey to Pasadena, college football goes relatively silent for the next eight months.
And it’s an eight months we all need to repair the damage of the terrible food and drink choices we made for our bodies, as well as the mental abuse caused by OH IF WE JUST HAD AN INTERIOR LINE WE COULD RUN THE BALL rattling around in our heads, or something similar, based on your team’s shortcomings.
So enjoy this extended season of restoration. You will need your strength when we meet again in 233 days, whether it’s in Atlanta for Ole Miss/Boise State (ALREADY NERVOUS), or Columbia for Texas A&M/South Carolina.
But for now, vaya con Dios, college football.
