The Gift That Keeps On Giving

Jenrry Mejia made his first start since the end of 2010. He went three innings, gave up five runs on six hits and five walks, and the Mets lost to the Brewers 9-6.

In 2010, Snoop Manuel brought up Mejia to be a reliever, after never relieving a single game in the minor leagues. Gangsta told him to just throw fastballs. Manuel, I’d be willing to bet, did this to save his own job. Mejia, meanwhile, developed arm problems a season later. And now he’s back to try to return to the status of elite prospect.

Way to leave a lasting legacy with the New York Mets organization, Gangsta. You’ve been assured a place in Mets history forever. And thanks for trying to call Terry Collins to apologize for attempting to ruin Jenrry’s career for your own personal gain. That was considerate of you, you gangsta hump. But please, keep appearing on MLB Network to tell us all you know about being a baseball manager. And while you’re at it, keep telling us what you know about medical issues like arm problems and concussions. Better yet, why don’t you write all that valuable information on the back of a stamp and mail it to me. It should fit, but leave a little room so that Dan Warthen can jot down all he knows about pitching.
