I didn’t have much to say about Tuesday’s Mets loss anyway, other than the fact that Matt Wisler and Adonis Garcia are shaping up to be huge thorns in the side of the Mets for years to come. Wisler pitched seven strong innings and Garcia had a two run double as the Mets lost 6-2. The Nationals lost as well, so the Magic Number to clinch the division is six. So there you go.
But bitching about losing to the Braves seems a little off right now. In the wee hours we lost one of the greats, as Hall of Famer and manager of the 1973 pennant winning Mets Yogi Berra passed away at the age of 90.
The future ain’t what it used to be.
