Nine innings, three hits (not one home run to Bartolo Colon), 13K’s, and after Colon gave up four in the first and a home run to Sludge Bucket in the second, it was pretty much over. Terry Collins could have put out the ’93 Blue Jays and the result would have been the same. I’m just happy that Bartolo got through five and Sean Gilmartin came in and got through three so that the bullpen wasn’t completely overworked going into Colorado. The most exciting thing regarding the Mets all night is when a friend of mine texted me that he thought Justin Turner looked like Dr. Zaius from Planet of the Apes.
