This is not a re-post. The Mets lost to the Pirates 3-1 for the second time of the night.
If this score holds, #Mets will be 16-19 since May 1 with a .217 team average and 2.89 runs scored per game.

Also to note, Lucas Duda hit .192 since May 1st before he went on the disabled list late in the month.
Travis d’Arnaud has been out since April 25th, and was hitting .196 previously.
Yoenis Cespedes is hurting too.
David Wright … well, ya know.
Three debilitating injuries and one nagging one, along with their three hitter of the future becoming the six hitter of the present and one leadoff hitter hitting .206 is a great way to make this lineup look like the 2014 Braves. Still, even with this lineup, you would expect Steven Matz and Jacob deGrom to defeat Jon Niese and Juan Nicasio by themselves. But hitting is still required to win games. This would be a great time for Kevin Long to make sure this happens. Or for the whirlpools turned up to “extra strength” or something.
Today’s Hate List
- John Jaso
- Juan Nicasio
- Cole Figueroa
- Seriously, who is Cole Figueroa?
- And can we get John Jaso some conditioner? I’m tired of looking at him.
