Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy will not play Thursday night against the Chicago Bears. He has officially been ruled out, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Lacy left in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 30-16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys after aggravating his left ankle, which he injured Week 5 against the New York Giants.
Per Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Lacy is expected to miss a few weeks and injured reserve is a possibility for the 26-year-old. Lacy is receiving a second opinion from foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson, according to multiple reports.
Knile Davis, who the team acquired from Kansas City via trade Tuesday, is expected to replace Lacy in the starting lineup.
Lacy is tied for 15th in the league in rushing with 360 yards. He made the Pro Bowl in 2013 after rushing for 1,139 yards and nine touchdowns.
