Where to Listen to UND Sports on the Radio in North Dakota

As the University of North Dakota hockey team kicks off their 2015-16 season, we find out that the Ice Breaker Tourney isn’t on any form of television or webcast this weekend. I find this unacceptable and mind boggling. College Hockey INC. is trying to promote college hockey and we can’t watch the tourney online or on TV. There are 100’s of channels on DirecTV and we can’t find one channel to cover this tourney?

First, college hockey should take a page from the Big Sky Conference streaming video, it’s phenomenal. I’ve never had a bad broadcast on their free web service. Root Sports is also top notch.

During the NDSU vs. UND football game, I actually watched the ESPN3 webcast in rural Starkweather, ND. We come a long ways as far as technology goes, but division I college hockey (some conferences) are behind FCS Football as it stands right now. The NCHC has been on the cutting edge for broadcasts and has worked very hard on their NCHC.TV. The WCHA is pretty good from what I have seen, too.

So, if you wondering where to listen to the games this weekend, check out the list of stations.
