Former Fighting Sioux and current New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson made the Minnesota Wild defense look like a bunch of fools.
Apparently, Nelson is the quickest former UND hockey player to score 20 goals this season. Nelson has seven points in his last six games (6g-1a–7pts).
Last season, Nelson scored 20 goals so he’s already equaled last season’s goal total. Nelson is also the Islanders leading scorer
#ISLES GOAL!!! @Bnelson puts one past Dubnyk to give the Islanders a 3-2 lead!! #YesYesYes

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsI think it’s funny that everyone wants to bag on Thomas Vanek for bad defensive play, but if you watch the video, hockey is a team game and all five players on the ice did a poor job defending this rush by the New York Islanders. Vanek wasn’t brought to the Wild for his defensive prowess either. Finally, Devan Dubnyk needs to be better.
@Russostrib glad vanek just standing around doing nothing
