Amed Rosario recently went through a case of gastroenteritis. Now, whatever the hell he ate must have been shared with Jacob deGrom.
Jacob deGrom recently experienced nausea, upset stomach, so Mets pushed back his start. New rotation:
Fri: Gsellman
Sat: Harvey
Sun: deGrom— Anthony DiComo (@AnthonyDiComo) September 21, 2017
So if you were hoping to get a cheap ticket to Friday’s game in hopes of seeing perhaps the Mets’ final win of the season, save your money for hockey tickets. The Mets are facing the Washington Nationals this weekend. So let’s look at the rotation from the eyes of a realist:
- Fri: Gsellman isn’t beating the Nationals.
- Sat: Harvey is giving up 17 runs in a third of an inning because his slider has left him for Julian Edelman.
- Sun: It’s Sunday. Nobody wins on Sunday. Christy Mathewson could regenerate, sign with the Mets, and lose on Sunday.
So, yeah. This season has made us all sick. Even Jacob deGrom.
