This morning at the Cult of Hockey, David Staples stated that he believes the Oilers will win the cup for the 2017-18 season. The prediction is based on when players like Toews, Kane, Orr, and others all won their first cups. It is definitely an interesting read.
It should be noted that Staples admits:
Why make such a prediction? Well, of course, I’m an Oilers fan, so there’s that.
I’m also an Oilers optimist who is generally happy if the glass is one third to one half full. When it’s two thirds full, well, time for a parade, no?
