A Housecleaning Note

Hello, baseball fans.

This post is to let you guys know, especially those of you have let me know of problems in commenting, that there is a new commenting system that has been installed on to this site called Livefyre.  What this basically, hopefully, means is that your commenting experience will be easier, and free of ubiquitous ads for dresses and sneakers and costume fetishes.

Here’s what you need to know and do:

• You can register with Livefyre, or sign in using your or twitter account to be able to comment.
• All of your old comments from earlier posts have disappeared, but they’re slowly making their way back.
• Flickr, Twitpic, tinypic, and imgur are the supported image sources, meaning you just copy and paste the URL into the comment box and the image shows up as a thumbnail.
• Same for videos: Just paste the URL for YouTube and Vimeo videos and they’ll show up.
• This is in beta, so there will be a bug every once in a while.  Exterminators roam the premises 24/7 to squash these bugs.  So if there’s anything you notice, complain to me.
• I am a moderator.  So as per usual I have the right to extinguish your comments for any reason I deem legitimate (in other words, messages of extreme hatred, messages of love that aren’t safe for work, messages of undying love for Francisco Cervelli will be zapped quicker than immediately.)
