Earlier today, I did a radio hit on TSN1260 in Edmonton with Allan Mitchell, aka our friend Lowetide. In the hit, we discuss the New England Patriots victory over the Denver Broncos last night, but then dive into the Edmonton Oilers. In our Oiler discussion, LT and I talk about Edmonton’s road trip out east, the top-six forward group and some possible offensive solutions for the club, both internally and via trade.
Edmonton’s playoff chances, and the actual possibility of missing the dance, are discussed at length, as was Peter Chiarelli’s course of action over the summer. Some interesting dialogue in there about Chiarelli’s lack of a plan and what kind of pressure he could face if Edmonton fails to qualify for the playoffs.
