Amy Menke’s Shorthanded goal against Bemidji State (1/24/2015)

The University of North Dakota women’s team was down 1-0 to the Bemidji State Beavers in the second period of Saturday’s game.

UND was in the midst of killing a five-minute major for charging and when UND experienced some fortune. At the 04:00 mark of the second period Amy Menke scored this beauty to tie the game.

“I saw (Michael) Parks do a nice move and a breakaway last night, Menke said. “I told Sam (Hanson) that I’m going to do the same thing if I get a chance. I did, so it was pretty cool.”
