I don’t do matinee games, but today I just happened to catch the final game of this four-game set on WOR. I was still recovering from all the celebrating I did the night before after yesterday’s NASCAR race…yeah that’s right NASCAR. Anyways, the game was ours to lose and that’s exactly what happened.
We lost 4-3, Mejia gave up the game winning double to Pablo Sandoval, but that is not what upsets me. The seventh inning could of been a disaster. Thank Juan Lagares and Josh Edgin for that save. Familia gave up the tying run on a lead-off triple by Hunter Pence that should’ve been caught, but no, the pass was incomplete. Chris Young let the ball deflect off of his glove and it fell to the warning track. It looked like the ball was batted down, is if Young was playing cornerback. I felt like Lagares had a better angle even though he was furthest to the ball. First of all, Chris Young shouldn’t even be on this team! I know that our vacant left field position will not be solved until the off-season, but bring on den Dekker! Oh and by the way. Grandpa Abreu got his walking papers today as well. I would like to see den Dekker develop. I understand he is not the answer long term, but he is racking in Vegas and he is fun to watch.
Chris Young is just plain bad. I thought, maybe he will come around with the stick. At least he plays solid defense. Clearly not! After dropping a fly ball back in May in Philadelphia and today, he has to go.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPmEGVC0OmY]The guy only hits high fly ball to left field. This was the same reason Billy Beane didn’t want him back. The only time he homer’s is if he is casted in Sharknado 2. Simply horrible!

By the looks of this, the #Yankees could be getting swept by the #Tigers or losing the first 3 games. pic.twitter.com/GuElZ4uXlj
