Broncos have a historically difficult schedule to finish 2016

Denver Broncos v Cincinnati Bengals

The defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos will have to overcome a historically difficult schedule over the final three games of the 2016 regular season to avoid missing the playoffs.

According to NFL Media Research, the Broncos are the first team since 1978 to play their final three games against teams currently at 10-3 or better. Denver plays the 11-2 New England Patriots, 10-3 Kansas City Chiefs and 10-3 Oakland Raiders to end the season.

The Broncos are currently 8-5 and in possession of the AFC’s sixth and final playoff spot. Holding the position might require as many as two wins over the final three games.  Now may be the perfect time to bet against Denver at All Slots Canadian online casino.

Denver’s gauntlet begins this Sunday with a visit from the Patriots, who can clinch the AFC East title with a win over the Broncos. New England can also clinch a first-round bye in the AFC playoffs with a win and some help.

The Broncos then go on the road to play the Chiefs, who just beat Denver at Sports Authority Field late last month. Gary Kubiak’s team finishes the year by hosting the Raiders, another AFC West team that beat the Broncos earlier in the season.

Overall, the Broncos have lost three out of the last five games after a 6-2 start.

“We’re going to have to play exceptional from here on, especially this week,” Kubiak said, via ESPN.

If the Broncos survive the final three games, they will have fully earned the right to play in the postseason.
