Sophomore defenseman Casey Johnson picked a heck of a time to score his first career goal. With 3:40 remaining in overtime, Johnson snapped a high shot past UAA Seawolves goalie Olivier Mantha to give the Fighting Hawks a 3-2 win in overtime. Johnson scored a goal and an assist in Saturday’s game.

On Saturday night, UND badly outshot the UAA Seawolves 45-16 but Mantha stood tall in the Seawolves cage and made it look easy. UND outplayed UAA for three periods of hockey but could only get three goals past Mantha.
For the weekend, UND went 1-9 on the man advantage (.111). A bright spot for UND, they were 8-8 on the penalty kill.
