Comparing Dmitri Kulikov and Trevor Moore’s hits

Last night,  I told someone in the press box that Trevor Moore‘s dirty, low hit on Drake Caggiula was worthy of a suspension. Before you dismiss my claim. Please take a look at the two videos embedded in this post and then come back, we can definitely have a discussion.

These are very similar hits. Both hits are dirty and dangerous.

This past week, Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin was injured after he was hit with a dirty hip-check by Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov.

According to Puck Daddy, Kulikov has been offered an in-person hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety. That means more-than-likely he’s probably going to get suspended for five games or more. We’ll see.
