The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled former Fighting Sioux defenseman Andrew MacWilliam from the Toronto Marlies and will make his NHL debut tonight against the Buffalo Sabres at the ACC.
Toronto Maples official site – The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that the club has recalled defenceman Andrew MacWilliam from the Toronto Marlies (AHL) on an emergency basis.
MacWilliam, 24, has played 53 regular season games with the Marlies this season, collecting seven points (three goals, four assists) and 45 penalty minutes. The Calgary, Alberta native was originally drafted by the Maple Leafs in the seventh round (188th overall) during the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. MacWilliam has yet to make his NHL debut.
The Maple Leafs host the Buffalo Sabres at Air Canada Centre tonight at 7 p.m.
