McDavid Named All-Star Captain for Pacific Division

.

Captain Connor rides again.

Today, the NHL announced which players will be donning the Captain’s “C” on their jerseys for their division at the 2017 NHL All-Star Game in Los Angeles.

Sidney Crosby will be the captain of the Metropolitan division, PK Subban will be the captain of the Central Division, Carey Price will wear the “C” from the crease for the Atlantic Division and our own wonderful Connor McDavid will wear the “C” for the Pacific Division.

Connor McDavid is starting to add quite the impressive number of jersey’s he has had the honour of stitching a “C” too. After wearing the “C” for the Erie Otters, Team North America and of his NHL club here in Edmonton, Connor will wear the “C” for the Pacific Division.

With the NHL All-Star game set to drop the puck on January 29, I started to wonder if the Oilers will send another man in Orange and Blue to represent along with Connor McDavid.

It’s unlikely that McDavid will be joined by any teammates other than Leon Draisaitl, and even Draisaitl’s inclusion is doubtful. Andrej Sekera could also be a possibility…

Either way, it’s really cool to see Connor McDavid continue to receive accolades. Congrats Captain Connor. We’ll be cheering for ya!
