Heading into the weekend, the team atop the National League East division is the New York Metropolitans. With the Washington Nationals in a funk—currently 3-7 in their last ten games—the Mets have come alive with the bats to take a small lead for first place.
In their past ten games, the Mets have scored more than two runs all but one time when they lost to the San Diego Padres, 7-2, on June 2. They are currently finishing up a series with the Arizona Diamondbacks, where they took the series opener, 6-2 after the Mets received another strong outing from Matt Harvey.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Mets play the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs for the most expensive tickets of the month, both with an average ticket price over $90.
Playing against mediocre teams throughout the month, New York has a chance at extending their first-place lead. After playing the D-backs, the Mets have series meetings with the Toronto Blue Jays, Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds, all matchups they are very capable of winning.
