NCHC Power Rankings (2/11/2015)

Each week, two other guys and myself do a weekly NCHC Power Rankings for Inside Hockey.

1. North Dakota 19-6-2 USCHO 2 pairwise 2

Last weekend, the University of North Dakota was off. Head coach Dave Hakstol told the media last week, that he would rather have played last weekend.

This week, UND plays the Denver Pioneers at the Ralph in pivotal conference series. UND is 7-2-1 in the last 10 games.

1. Nebraska-Omaha 16-7-3 USCHO 4 Pairwise 4

Last weekend, the Mavericks were off.

This weekend, the Mavericks entertain the Western Michigan Broncos. Nebraska-Omaha is 6-3-1 in the last 10 games.

Remaining series: Western Michigan, @ St. Cloud State, @ Minnesota-Duluth, Colorado College

3. UMD 17-10-1 USCHO 6 pairwise 5

Last weekend, the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs swept (3-1 W, 6-3 W) the Northern Michigan Wildcats. This season, the Bulldogs went 3-1-0 against teams from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

This weekend, the Bulldogs entertain the St. Cloud State Huskies.

Remaining series: St. Cloud State, @ Miami, Nebraska-Omaha. @ Western Michigan.

3. Denver 16-9-1 USCHO 9 pairwise 9

This past weekend, the Denver Pioneers shut out (3-0) the Colorado College Tigers. With the win, the Pioneers take a 2-0 lead in the Gold Pan series. Denver is 6-4-0 the last 10 games.

This weekend, the Pioneers travel to Grand Forks, ND, to take on North Dakota.

5. Miami 16-9-1 USCHO 7 Pairwise 7

This past weekend, the Miami RedHawks beat the Western Michigan Broncos (4-3) in a single game at the Hockey City Classic in Chicago, Illinois.

This weekend, the RedHawks travel to Colorado Springs to play the Colorado College Tigers. The RedHawks are 5-4-1 in the last 10 games.

6. Western Michigan 11-11-4 USCHO N/R pairwise T25

This past weekend, the Western Michigan Bronco lost (3-4) to the Miami RedHawks at the Hockey Classic in Chicago, Illinois.  The Broncos are 5-3-2 in the last 10 games.

This weekend, the Broncos travel to Omaha to take on the  Mavericks.

7. St. Cloud 12-13-1 USCHO N/R pairwise T22

Last weekend, the St. Cloud State Huskies were off.

This weekend, the Huskies travel to Duluth to take on the Bulldogs. The Huskies are 6-4-0 in the last 10 games.

This past weekend, the Tigers were shutout (0-3) by the Denver Pioneers.
