Per NCHC release Denver Trevor Moore will miss this Friday’s game against the Colorado College Tigers.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) has issued one-game suspensions to both Western Michigan sophomore forward Mike McKee and Denver sophomore forward Trevor Moore, in accordance with the conference’s supplemental discipline policy, the NCHC announced Tuesday, Feb. 17. The suspensions stem from illegal hits during their respective games on Saturday, Feb. 14.
Moore was also suspended one game following a review of a play in which he delivered a low hit against a North Dakota player without the puck at 14:44 of the first period of Saturday’s game at UND. Moore was given a five-minute major penalty for clipping on the play. He will be required to serve the suspension during Friday’s game at Colorado College on Feb. 20 and is eligible to return the next night, Saturday, Feb. 21, for DU’s home game with the Tigers.
Last Saturday night, I told a couple of the guys in the press box that this was a suspension worthy hit. I also think that if Moore had been thrown out of the game, we probably wouldn’t have been looking at a suspension for Moore.
