The Edmonton Oilers have taken a chance on Skyler Brind’Amour with the 177th overall pick in the NHL draft. Brind’Amour is a 6’2” and 170 pound center who played parts of last season in the USHL with the United States National Development team.
He skated in six games with the U17 team and two games with the U18 team. Overall, Brind’Amour scored 1-0-1 in his eight games.
Next season, Brind’Amour is slated to play in the BCHL for the Chilliwack Chiefs before heading to Michigan State of the NCAA for the 2018-19 season.
