Is something crazy going to happen at the top of tonight’s NHL Draft?
First, we heard earlier in the week from Bob McKenzie that maybe–just maybe–the Jets might pass on Patrik Laine and take Jesse Puljujarvi instead.
Jets, as is their style, haven't tipped hand but several teams told me to not rule out notion of Puljujarvi going 2nd overall to WPG.

Hmm. Is Laine a bit too cocky for the Jets?
Now today McKenzie states that it’s possible that the Blue Jackets might not select Puljujarvi.
Bob McKenzie on TSN 1050: "CBJ options are trade the pick or conceivably go off the board at three."

Could either Laine or Puljujarvi actually fall into the Oilers’ lap?
I’ve written about this possibility before, but didn’t really think it would happen. I still don’t, but now it at least seems a little more likely.
If this were to happen, how would it affect the P.K. Subban trade, if there actually is anything to the rumours?
Dare to dream, Oiler fans…or drool.
Warning: Hall – McDavid – Puljujarvi will induce drooling.
