Ravens’ 2011 Schedule released with fingers crossed…

Cross your fingers, hope for the best…maybe these games will actually be played in 2011…?

Well, the NFL optimistically released the 2011 schedule for the Ravens last night…of course, being a little cynical by nature, I suspect the league felt it had to release a schedule soon…since season-ticket holders have a bill  for their deposit on their seats due as payable any moment…

Here’s the Regular Season Schedule for the Ravens, 2011…

*denotes flexible time of start according to network TV coverage decisions….

Some good news: there’s plenty of national exposure in this schedule (with 5 prime-time TV games), and the Ravens will not have to play any team coming off their Bye week… nice.

The bad?— As Sarah Ellison points out at the Ravens NFL.com site, An early bye week surrounded by home games…Two cross-country road trips at inopportune times…Primetime at Heinz Field, not M&T Bank Stadium..

FOR the time being, I’ll hold my tongue as to some problems I see with the schedule. Right now, I’m just glad the NFL actually issued the thing… maybe there’s hope we’ll get to see the Harbaugh brothers square off against each other on Thanksgiving night after all…
