Shameless? Blameless? Gangsta!

In the latest installment of “Mind of the Manager”, Jerry Manuel discusses what he read on Mets.com:

“Jenrry Mejia has a complete medial collateral ligament tear in his right elbow, Mets medical director Dr. David Altchek discovered Monday in an MRI exam.”

M****er f***er! I knew it. I knew it. Why didn’t they listen to me?  I told that kid not to worry about throwing anything but that m***er f***ing fastball and they all thought I was crazy.  Crazy!  Now they know that I was worried about that kid’s health all along!

They kept saying that Mejia should be a starting pitcher and I kept telling everyone … curveballs ain’t gangsta!  CURVEBALLS AIN’T GANGSTA!!!  Did they listen?  No, they all wrote that I was just doing that to save my job.  What do I care about that job?  I can go on MLB Network anytime I want because the baseball public has a hunger for what’s going on in the Mind of the M***er F***ing Manager!  I’M THE M***ER F***ING MANAGER!!!  THE ONE WITH THE M***ER F***ING MIND!!!  And my mind said all along that kid should be a *** damn middle reliever!  And now what?  What do you have?  I’ll tell you what that kid doesn’t have, a working MCL!

But wasn’t Mejia hurt when you managed him too?

Oh please, that was a rhomboid strain.  Who’s ever heard of a rhomboid?  How was I supposed to know that we had geometric shapes in our body.  If I had known there was a something called a rhomboid, if our medical staff knew that there was something called a rhomboid, we wouldn’t have had him throw fastballs either.  We just would have had R.A. Dickey teach him a knuckleball and have him throw those out of the bullpen.

So what you’re saying is …

What I’m saying is that he can get all the second opinions he want, surgery’s on Thursday.  SURGERY … IS ON … THURSDAY!!!  Hey let me ask you: Who has two thumbs and is blameless for Jenrry Mejia’s injury?

Umm, well …

THIS GUY!!!

Thank you Jerry …

CURVEBALLS AIN’T GANGSTA!!!

Okay Jerry.

*Snoop, in reality, said none of this … unless he muttered it to himself in a dark room.
