Nothing better than moving legitimate NHL players in exchange for draft picks, but the Oilers (as you’ll see) were pros at this aspect. Andrew Cogliano was in a numbers game and as the team got younger, they moved out quality NHL players. Cogliano was dealt to the Anaheim Ducks for a 2nd round pick that became Marc-Olivier Roy. Cogliano is still contributing to a very good Ducks team. Chalk another one up for Steve Tambellini.
