3 – Oilers deal Stoll, Greene for Visnovsky

Kevin Lowe made a lot of questionable deals during his tenure as GM, but this one is one of the worst. Kevin Lowe wanted a power play quarter back even though he already had Sheldon Souray. Lowe traded fan favourites Jarret Stoll and Matt Greene to the Kings in exchange for Lubomir Visnovsky. Two things the Oilers missed since that deal was a steady shutdown defenseman and a face-off specialist who could produce some points. Greene and Stoll played vital roles in the Kings Stanley Cup Championships in 2012 and 2014, while Visnovsky was moved for Ryan Whitney two years later.
