[tps_header]It’s the silly season in the NHL, where fans whose teams aren’t in the playoffs spend their time wildly speculating about potential offseason moves. Here at the Rig, we’ve got a daily “Offseason Targets” feature, where our writers are exploring potential offseason targets (to varying degrees of success – Dennis Wideman will not be an Oiler, Alex). Instead, today we’re going to take a look at a more lighthearted aspect of the 2016-17 Edmonton Oilers: their beards. (I couldn’t restrict it to playoff beards, because the number 1 position is filled by someone who didn’t play in a playoff game.) Big thanks to @GarbageFireKels for her help. Enjoy!![/tps_header]
10 – Laurent Brossoit
The Oilers backup goalie didn’t see a lot of icetime during the playoffs, but that just meant that fans were treated to numerous shots of his beard on the bench. If the hockey thing doesn’t work out, Brossoit could always find a second career as a model.
