The season is over. It didn’t go as we had hoped. But the Oilers did give us a few exciting moments. And several of those exciting moments came courtesy of one young Oiler named Connor McDavid.
So without further ado, here are the top 10 McDavid moments.
10. One of many sweet passes
McDavid chips it to himself while splitting two Vancouver defenders. This might have been his nicest assist of the season.

McDavid doesn’t disappoint in the final Oilers game at Rexall Place, picking up 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) in the 6-2 victory.

This is what NHL defencemen see in their nightmares. Oh, and the Oilers eventually scored as a result of McDavid’s unconventional and incredible entry into the offensive zone.
7. “Oh, what a move, what a goal!”
McDavid receives a nice pass from Pouliot and makes the Detroit goalie more silly than Donald Trump in a wind tunnel.
6. First NHL goal
In his third NHL game, McDavid scores his first NHL goal. The first of many, I’m sure.
5. Two goals against the Flames
Remember when some Flames fans were saying Sam Bennett might have a better rookie season than McDavid? I haven’t heard from those guys in a while.
4. McDavid versus Eichel
“Oooovertiiiiiiiime winner!” Oiler fans were loving it, but Jack Eichel was not impressed with McDavid’s 2 goals against the Sabres.
3. Making Leaf fans cry
Did McDavid grow up wearing Toronto Maple Leaf pajamas? Yep. Does that mean he’ll go easy on his former favourite hockey team? Nope. McDavid scores 2 goals and tallies 3 assists against the Leafs.
2. “Connor McDavid, welcome back!”
