Former Fighting Sioux forward Drew Stafford will be staying in Winnipeg Jets. Apparently, Stafford likes the Jets chances this season. Checking out the numbers, Stafford will be making some decent money next season.

Former Fighting Sioux defenseman Andrew MacWilliam’s time in Toronto has come to an end. I would have to think that MacWilliam will get a shot somewhere else.
Per Maple Leafs Hot Stove:
MacWilliam, Knodel Let Go
The Leafs gave defenceman Andrew MacWilliam, a seventh round pick in 2008, a 12-game look late last season knowing his deal was expiring. The results weren’t pretty visually or statistically: MacWilliam was a 40.3% Corsi For in about 150 minutes of even strength action.
MacWilliam was a solid physical presence for the Marlies (actually finished last season with a +22 rating), but this is the standard roster iteration process taking place here as Standard Player Contract slots should be opened for players with the potential to contribute to the big club in some capacity at some point down the line.
UPDATE: The Winnipeg Jets have signed MacWilliam to a one-year, two-way contract.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsPer the Winnipeg Jets Official Release: The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have agreed to terms with defenceman Andrew MacWilliam on one-year, two-way deal, worth an annual average value of $600,000.
MacWilliam, 25, has been a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization for the past three seasons, registering two points (2a) in 12 NHL games and 16 points (3g, 13a) in 117 AHL games with the Toronto Marlies. MacWilliam, a native of Calgary, AB, spent four seasons at the University of North Dakota, winning the WCHA Championship three times.
While he’s not an unrestricted free agent, former Fighting Sioux forward T.J. Oshie has been the subject of many rumors. It would appear that the St. Louis Blues are ready to move on from Oshie. Personally, I think he would look good in Minnesota or Boston.
@cjpapa13 TJ Oshie to Islanders talks heating up… not someone i want to see play next to tavares against the Rangers.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsUPDATE: All-World forward Alex Ovechkin has a new teammate in Washington. Former Fighting Sioux forward T.J. Oshie has been traded to the Washington Capitals. With the former Fighting Sioux defenseman Taylor Chorney’s signing yesterday, there will now be two former Fighting Sioux players on the Capitals roster.
