This season, University of North Dakota women’s junior forward Amy Menke (Shakopee, Minnesota) has scored some nice goals. The speedy forward has a deadly shot, just ask Minnesota Gophers goalie Amanda Leveille.
This past weekend, Menke scored the shorthanded goal against the second-ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers to give UND a 2-0 lead. That was the first shorthanded goal that the Gophers had given up this season.
Menke also scored a game-tying shorthanded goal against Bemidji State University. That goal changed the complexity of the game and sent UND on their way to sweeping the Bemidji State Beavers.
