Tiger Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving on Wednesday, and if he completes a diversion program, he’ll avoid having a DUI on his record.
It’s safe to say he dodged a bullet, given the condition he was in when he was nabbed for DUI in May. Woods was arrested in his hometown of Jupiter, Fla., and the dashcam video showed a clearly intoxicated man who wasn’t in any shape to drive. The mugshot after his arrest speaks volumes.

While Woods claimed he hadn’t ingested any alcohol, that doesn’t necessarily take him off the hook. He was slurring his words while talking to the arresting officer, and we now know that he had a number of drugs in his system during that time.
The toxicology report was released Monday, and Woods came up positive for five drugs. ESPN.com provided the details.
-Hydrocodone, the generic form of a painkiller branded as Vicodin.
-Hydromorphone, a strong painkiller commonly known as Dilaudid.
-Alprazolam, a mood and sleep drug commonly known as Xanax.
-Zolpidem, a sleep drug commonly known as Ambien.
-Delta-9 carboxy THC, a muscle relaxant that is also the substance the body metabolizes after marijuana is consumed.
That would certainly explain why Woods was in that drowsy state and appeared inebriated. Hopefully he’ll learn his lesson and won’t make this mistake again. Perhaps he should check out an outpatient drug rehab program in Idaho if he is serious about fighting his addiction.
