The Miami Dolphins beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-15 on Sunday, but it came at the price of losing their top defensive playmaker.
Pro Bowl safety Reshad Jones suffered a torn rotator cuff in Sunday’s victory. His season is over, according to the Miami Herald‘s Armando Salguero.
Reshad Jones is out for the remainder of the season, per league source.

Jones, 28, had the second-most tackles on the team with 51, and he picked up his first interception of the season on Sunday. Pro Football Focus had Jones as the sixth-ranked safety in the league entering Week 7 of the season. He will be sorely missed on Miami’s 27th-rated defense.
Backup safety Michael Thomas will presumably replace Jones in the starting lineup.
