Anthony Rizzo and Addison Russell were virtually invisible in the MLB playoffs entering Wednesday night’s game against the Dodgers, but that changed in a big way.
Both players homered in the game, which was basically a must-win with the possibility of facing Clayton Kershaw in Game 5.
Rizzo was in a 2-for-26 slump heading into the game, but he may have found what was previously holding him back: his bat.
Rizzo borrowed teammate Matt Szczur’s bat before stepping up to the plate in the fifth inning to face Pedro Baez, and he used it to blast a home run to give the Cubs a 5-0 lead.

Rizzo might want to stick with that bat in Game 5 and beyond.
