After spending seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers, wide receiver Greg Jennings would know a thing or two about Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers has come under fire this season for his rough play. Blame can go various directions, but Rodgers seems the main culprit of the team’s woes.
Jennings appeared on Colin Cowherd’s show earlier this week and dropped some interesting comments:
.@GregJennings on Aaron Rodgers: Everyone in the NFL has a label. Aaron's label is that he's sensitive. pic.twitter.com/owKpC5SXvY

“Aaron’s label is that he’s sensitive. When you’re dealing with a guy like that, and you’re playing a non-sensitive game, it’s hard. It’s challenging. Because you tend to not say what you would say to the next guy because of how this guy would take it.”
Jennings himself has since come under fire for the comments—but he’s not backing down from his choice of words:
2 things:
1. I'm very aware & satisfied w/ my word selection
2. I don't need you telling me what my word choice should be.
Anything else? https://t.co/bU4boUSCf2

Odd times. Jennings had to know he would come under fire for the comments though. He’s a guy who won a ring with Rodgers and the Packers, then pulled a Brett Favre by joining the Minnesota Vikings.
While not the end all, be all to help explain Rodgers’ struggles this season, Jennings comments provide an interesting look behind the curtain. How Rodgers and the Packers respond will say a lot.
At the least, we probably haven’t heard the last of Jennings’ thoughts on the matter.
