New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. hit London in style for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.
With an understanding of the locale, Beckham elected to rock the Burberry design on his pre-game cleats:

Where Antonio Brown and others have failed, though, Beckham succeeded—he changed cleats before the game. The in-game cleats were not only epic, but legal by league standards because they displayed his team’s colors:

Expect other players to use this approach in the future. Rather than have referees threaten to ban a player over non-compliant cleats, players can rock the illegal kicks before kickoff without repercussion. Well, at least for now.
Either way, Beckham innovated with his shoe game and a workaround of the rules in a big way across the pond.
