The Billy Goat curse is over, and the Chicago Cubs are world champions, and there’s been plenty of celebrating going on in the city.
General manager Theo Epstein, who built the team from worst to first, is a big reason for the team’s success. So, he decided to celebrate the curse being lifted in the best possible way: by eating goat in the Wrigley Field bleachers.
“They’ve said there are no curses, that it was just a matter of putting together a great baseball team,” Boka Restaurant Group co-owner Kevin Boehm said, via Shia Kapos of the Chicago Sun-Times. “But they were happy to eat that [nine-and-a-half-pound] goat.”
