The Los Angeles Rams have finally decided to turn over the quarterback position to first overall pick Jared Goff.
According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Goff will start for the Rams on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

Per Mortensen, head coach Jeff Fisher informed Goff and former starter Case Keenum of the decision on Tuesday morning.
The Rams, who beat the New York Jets by a 9-6 final on Sunday, are averaging an NFL-worst 15.4 points per game this season. Los Angeles hasn’t scored more than 10 points in a game since the middle of October.
The long awaited start to the Goff era will happen Sunday.
Despite being the first overall pick in the 2016 draft, Goff will become the sixth rookie quarterback to start an NFL game this season. He’s had an uncommonly long wait to play as the top pick, according to ESPN’s Stats and Information:

Keenum will go to the bench after ranking 30th in the NFL with a 76.8 passer rating. He threw nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions over the Rams’ first nine games.
Goff won’t have it easy to start his NFL career. The Dolphins have won four straight games, and after Sunday, the Rams play the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots on the road before taking on the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks in Weeks 14 and 15, respectively.
