A lot of NFL players don’t care for Thursday games because they feel that three days isn’t enough time to recover from a Sunday game.
Not Le’Veon Bell.
The Steelers running back carried the ball 28 times for a season-high 146 yards and caught eight passes for 55 yards in Sunday’s 24-9 win at Cleveland. Coming off that heavy workload, the 24-year-old is ready to go at it again Thursday night at Indianapolis.
“We practice on Thursdays all the time, and I go out and practice and feel good on Thursdays,” Bell told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “Once Thursday night comes around, I’ll feel good.”
That kind of enthusiasm about playing on Thursday isn’t common among NFL players, and some veterans might be muttering “Shut up, kid!” through their teeth.
