Former Rams head coach Jeff Fisher is currently tied with Dan Reeves for most losses by a head coach in NFL history, but he wants a chance to break the record.
Fisher, at 58 years of age, still has a number of years to come back and coach a team, and could get a job with a small-market team somewhere down the line.
He seems to already be turning the page and appears to be ready for the right gig, if it should fall into his lap. Fisher remained smug as usual, when asked what his goals are for his potential next chapter in the NFL.
“I want a chance to play the Rams,” Fisher said, in an interview that will air during FOX’s Sunday pregame show.
Fisher than commented on why he thought he was let go by the Rams organization.
“He didn’t win enough games, and the organization has a much bigger picture,” Fisher said of himself when asked why he thought he was fired. “And I don’t think I was ever part of seeing the new stadium.”
Typical Fisher: No accountability, and plenty of excuses as to why it didn’t work out. He’s not the victim, and the reality is that a 7-9 club or worse every season doesn’t cut it at the professional level.
