The Indianapolis Colts sit as one of the NFL’s biggest punchlines at 2-4 and dead last in the AFC South, the NFL’s biggest divisional punchline.
Many problems persist throughout the organization, though the most obvious simply comes from a terrible job of roster building. According to sources that spoke with Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, quarterback Andrew Luck has the power to demand changes in various areas, from coaching approach to roster building.
The question is whether he will:
“From what I know of Andrew from the times I’ve talked to him, I’m not sure that’s in his personality, but it will be interesting to see,” one source said. “Certainly, he has that kind of power within the team if he wanted to use it.”
As the report notes, the coaching staff has tried to build a run-first team, but leans on the pass when games get close. Given the miserable job the current staff has done when it comes to surrounding Luck with talent, it’s not hard to see why.
With the Colts heading toward what seems like a rough overall record by the end of the year, one has to wonder if Luck will grow tired of the erratic behavior around him. Peyton Manning, though hailed as a nice enough guy, wouldn’t have let this go on for long.
Will Luck?
