Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield sent a friendly reminder to his opponents before Saturday’s game against Baylor kicked off.
With the Bears starting the season 0-3 — having lost to Liberty, UTSA and Duke — Mayfield made sure to let some of their players know that he and the undefeated Sooners are off to a great start this season.
It happened when players from both teams were warming up near midfield before the game kicked off, and some words were exchanged. What Mayfield said to some of the Baylor players could be heard clear as day, though. Here’s what he was overheard saying:
“You forgot who daddy is,” Mayfield said. “I’m gonna have to spank you today.”

We’ll see if Mayfield can back up his talk. Judging by what he’s done this season already, all signs would point to yes.
