One customer, who shared her story with Fox59, was especially grateful after nearly having her electricity disconnected because she couldn’t pay the bill:
On Friday afternoon, 58-year-old Valerie Moore got a phone call from a friend who told her someone was paying off people’s utility bills. Moore dropped everything and drove over to the IPL office.
“All I could do was throw my hands up in the air and just give her the bill,” said Moore.
Moore had a nearly $400 bill with a disconnection notice set for Dec. 27. …
Once Moore learned the generous stranger was Pat McAfee she told FOX59 she’s always been a Colts fan but she’ll be cheering a little louder for McAfee from now on.
It’s always great to hear about athletes giving back to the community, especially around this time of the year.
