New York Giants defensive end Owa Odighizuwa was fined $12,154 for unsportsmanlike conduct in Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Rams. His offense—pretending to take a photo of several teammates after an interception return for a touchdown by Landon Collins.

Odighizuwa’s fine is one of several ridiculous fines the NFL has handed out this season. Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis was fined for pretending to shoot a jump shot with the football, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver was fined for twerking in the end zone and Washington cornerback Josh Norman was fined for shooting an imaginary bow-and-arrow.
The Giants have been flagged consecutive weeks for celebratory actions after wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. took his helmet off in the back of the end zone in a win over the Baltimore Ravens last week. Giants coach Ben McAdoo calls it “bad football.”
“We had some bad football show up again with the penalty after the touchdown,” McAdoo said, via ESPN.com’s Jordan Raanan. “Guys are excited, but we have to eliminate that bad football.”
The Giants are on a bye this week, but you can bet McAdoo will remind his team to keep the post-touchdown celebrations to a minimum when they return Nov. 6 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
